The mission of Mountain Valley Developmental Services is to encourage and support individuals with developmental disabilities, enhance their ability to live, learn, and work in an independent and inclusive manner, and to educate the community about their contributions and capabilities.
Mountain Valley Developmental Services was formed in 1973 by a group of parents and volunteers, and was incorporated as a non-profit in 1975. Mountain Valley has since grown into a comprehensive organization which provides an array of services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Services are available to the communities of Aspen, Carbondale, Eagle, Glenwood Springs, Gypsum, Leadville, Rifle, Parachute, Vail and surrounding areas.

Mountain Valley Developmental Services has been designated by Colorado Department of Health and Human Services as the
Community Centered Board responsible
for Eagle, Garfield, Lake and Pitkin Counties.

All services are accredited by CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, and approved by Colorado Developmental Disabilities Services. Residential facilities are also licensed by the Colorado Department of Health.

Mountain Valley Developmental Services is in compliance
with all HIPPA regulations.
