Mountain Valley Developmental Services
Encourage. Support. Enhance. Educate.
Our Mission is to encourage and support individuals with developmental disabilities, enhance their ability to live, learn, and work in an independent and inclusive manner, and to educate the community about their contributions and capabilities.
MVDS supports adults and children in Eagle, Garfield, Lake and Pitkin counties with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Our work provides life span services for these individuals, their parents and family members, guardians, colleagues at work, neighbors and friends to promote independence, quality of life, and rights protection.

Outdoor visitation is preferable to indoor visitation.
Visitors will need to conduct a self-screen on the day of the visit and will participate in a similar screening upon arrival.
Indoor visits are limited to one visitor per resident and will be guided by staff to the designated area. Vaccinated residents may have visitors in their bedrooms.
Visitors must wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth. Upon arrival, visitors will clean their hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer.
Visitors will be instructed to maintain social distancing except in the case of a vaccinated resident having a visitor in their bedroom.
MVDS will not allow outdoor visitation or access at any location if:
The resident or visitor has symptoms of COVID 19 or is in isolation or quarantine;
The home has an active outbreak and has not completed the 14 day isolation period;
The county or city is restricting such interactions;
The county positivity rate is greater than 10% and fewer than 70% of the residents are fully vaccinated. In this case, indoor visitations for unvaccinated residents are limited to compassionate care visits only; or
The State of Colorado has implemented restrictions due to increased cases of COVID 19.
