Children and Family Programs
Our Children’s Programs provide assistance to families with children who are demonstrating a developmental delay, have an established condition, or who have developmental disabilities. Through service coordination, an Individualized Family Service Plan is created to identify family priorities, coordinate resources, and ensure entitlements while promoting the development of every child.
Early Intervention Services
The Early Intervention Program supports families of children under the age of three, who have been diagnosed with an established condition known to have a high probability of resulting in significant delays in development; who have a parent with a documented intellectual disability; are demonstrating a greater than 33% delay in at least one domain of development; or a 25-32% delay in two or more areas of development by:
- Providing Service Coordination and Case Management Services to connect families to resources
- Coordinating and providing payment for Therapeutic interventions embedded within each child’s daily routines and natural environments
- Supporting children and families as they transition out of services
The Early Intervention model supports families through the coaching model, which empowers families to support the needs of their child’s growth and development. Services are provided in a natural environment, focusing on a family’s routines.
Early Intervention services are provided to families at no cost, regardless of income and insurance. Mountain Valley’s team of pediatric providers is comprised of physical, occupational, and speech therapists, developmental interventionists, and a variety of other professionals who provide services to families in Garfield, Eagle, Lake, and Pitkin counties.
