Colorado Gives Day: Why, How and When You Can Support Mountain Valley Developmental Services

Collaboratively working with service agencies, organizations and the business community to expand resources to meet the ever increasing needs for people of all ages, Mountain Valley Developmental Services is always looking for ways to increase support for families and streamline access to community services to obtain necessities and expand opportunities for learning, work and recreation. Colorado Gives Day

Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. This year, in celebration of the 10th anniversary, Colorado Gives Day is officially Tuesday, December 10, 2019, and continues to provide a $1 Million Dollar Incentive Fund aimed at increasing the value of every Colorado Gives Day donation.

Why Give on Tuesday, December 10?

First, you’ll be a part of the state-wide movement, which feels good and can be quite exciting!

Second, every dollar counts, so whether you donate $10 or $10,000, you will be making a state-wide impact. Finally, thanks to the $1 Million Incentive Fund, designed to increase the value of every donation proportionally, and your donation could boost MVDS! Our Mission is to encourage and support individuals with developmental disabilities, enhance their ability to live, learn, and work in an independent and inclusive manner, and to educate the community about their contributions and capabilities.These donations, in any degree, are extremely important to us and help support everything in our organization from Case Management to our Children and Family Programs.

At the completion of Colorado Gives Day, the Foundation will determine each nonprofit’s proportionate share of the incentive fund by dividing the total amount each non-profit raised by the total amount of donations to all participating non-profits. This amount will then be multiplied by the total amount of dollars in the Incentive Fund.

How to Give on Tuesday, December 10?

When you use the official ColoradoGives.org website to donate to Mountain Valley Developmental Services, your donation will be boosted by the $1 Million Incentive Fund and count towards additional donations and prizes for nonprofits.

You have two options: 1) If you’re a planner, you can schedule your donation ahead of time by using the platform ColoradoGives.org has created and this helpful step-by-step guide. 2) If you’re more spontaneous, you can hop online anytime on Tuesday, December 10, visit ColoradoGives.org, search for Mountain Valley Developmental Services, or by region or county and donate on Colorado Gives Day.
